In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
“Whoever will confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father who is in heaven.
But whoever will deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
You will be hated by all men for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
Likewise, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
“Truly, truly I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has eternal life and shall not come into condemnation, but has passed from death into life.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
I give them eternal life. They shall never perish, nor shall anyone snatch them from My hand.
Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
Therefore repent and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Do you despise the riches of His goodness, tolerance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved,
for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God,
not of works, so that no one should boast.
So do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me, His prisoner. But share in the sufferings of the gospel by the power of God,
who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not by our works, but by His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that does not fade away, kept in heaven for you,
who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.
I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
