¶ If thou art slack in the day of tribulation, thy strength shall be reduced.
¶ The wicked flee when no man pursues, but the righteous are bold as a young lion.
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord and went down to Joppa, and he found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare thereof and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish fleeing from the presence of the Lord.
¶ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who taught you to flee from the wrath to come?
The hireling flees because he is a hireling, and the sheep do not belong to him.
Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
